God is in Control!

Wow what a day we had today, I will be able to blog a bit more about it tomorrow perhaps after I have been able to get the Sunday stuff ready and slept a bit.............very tired. Needless to say we had an awesome women's conference today and it all went splendidly well thanks to a great team of awesome people who helped out in many ways. God is great! Well, this week we have our women's conference "Free 2B Me" and we are gearing up for a great time together with ladies from all over the area. For the last few weeks a team of ladies from church have been making bracelets as little gifts for the ladies, our aim, or should I say, the number of bracelets that I wanted us to get to was 100 and I finished the last one of them on Sunday night! aren't they pretty?!!!!!! and of course I must thank the beautiful Andraya for the idea and for the time she took in teaching us all how to make them......they didn't take a lot of time and the look so great too. It was also good spending some girl time doing beading and just chatting (and eating), must do more of that..........(not so much of the eating though!) When mum was here on the weekend she taught me how to knit a bracelet so I made this other one which was fairly easy and looks rather gorgeous too! Easter was great this year, very reflective..... We had great Easter meetings, (although the Sunday sermon wasn't the best that I have ever done......but aren't we glad that God works despite the lameness of our work sometimes....) and although we had a lot of our regular people away, we also had a lot of visitors which was really good. We started on Thursday for an Easter celebration at JAM which went really well although we didn't have a lot of people there, we had a great time. Then on Friday we had our Good Friday service where we were challenged by the fact that our sin nailed Jesus to the cross and we were invited to give our sins over to Jesus and not take them back out the door with us. Easter Sunday we enjoyed the atmosphere of celebration and it was great to share together, there was a lot of singing and praising going on! Could it get any hotter? Well, I guess that it could indeed get hotter, but I think that this heat wave has gone on long enough.......God please, we need some relief! Today it has been hot again, never would have guessed huh? It's not supposed to be this hot in the middle of March, heck what's going on? I am really hoping that the other prediction about the weather will happen, that is that the weather pattern we have had over summer is pointing to the fact that we will more than likely have more rain than usual this year, believe it or not! That would be good and bring it on I say..............it hit 40 degrees in Adelaide today so it would have been 41-42 here, mmmmmm have to watch the news tonight. But I just checked the weather on the Bureau of Meterology and it said that tomorrow is going to be cooler..........wait and see...........at least I have been able to get some work done inside with the air con on, at least I am very thankful for that. Well, this week is looking like it is going to be a big one. We are getting ready for Easter as well as our women's conference which is the week after Easter. Then we have, on top of the usual stuff, RE at Kadina Primary this Wednesday, and an Easter celebration night for JAM on Thursday night (I wonder how many people from the church will come...) and mum and dad are coming over for Easter....so I guess that means that we also have to clean the house a little! I have a huge list of things to do, but it is good to be busy and be alive! But for now, it's almost time for me to go and ring my bestest bud in the world and see what she has been up to. You know there are times when we just don't feel like we have anything to give to the people on a Sunday, you know we do all of the preparation and work out what's happening but it just doesn't seem like it's going to come off. Today was one of those days....... Colin and I had had a few little arguments and that's not really like us, and things just didn't seem to come together....we knew that there was going to be a number of people away today and that was a little disappointing aswell, but you know, as things generally happen when God is involved, we were able to spend some great time in prayer before the meeting this morning, there was only three of us, but it was awesome and God gently reminded me that when I wait on Him, I need not worry about anything else that is going on, because He is my refuge and my strength! Church was great today as we came into the presence of God, and we still had 44 people there! Hallelujah!!! One of our JAM mums came with

March already......I think that I said the same thing about Feb....and here we are in March already. We have had a fairly relaxing weekend and am feeling a bit ordinary tonight, I have an eye infection or something, not too comfy, but I hope that it is better tomorrow or else I will have to go and get something for it. Just annoying. Anyway, nothing really very much to say tonight. I was going to do some work, but I don't think I can stay awake, esp with this eye thing, it's making me want to go to sleep.
