Only one more sleep to go..........YAY

Well.....I have not been so good at blogging, but still trying to do it regularly. Trying to get all of the work we need to get done before holidays start and we're almost there which is great! Haven't realised how much I am looking forward to having a holiday....and how much we need one. I have a great amount of things that I want to do on the holiday.....lots of books to read, cross stitch to do, family and friends to visit and lots of sleeping in and relaxing! YAY! A list of thing that I am thankful for: ~ 1. A great God, who knows more about what I need than I do 2. An unbelievable husband who loves me more than I deserve 3. Great friends that I can depend on 4. Cooler weather 5. Hot chips for tea Well, that's about it for another day, holidays tomorrow! Love Kylie xxx

Wow.....how quickly the days go by.....

Well, so much for blogging every day, good intentions, but not so good in practice. So far this week we have had 2 days of holiday program and it has been wonderful. We have had 26 kids come on both days which has been a great thing to see, 5 of the kids today were different ones so all together we have seen 31 kids ~ YAY! One of the parents today were asking about Sunday School which is good too, I just pray that it will really take off this year and that God will provide all that we need to do that. Last night we had a Gilmore Girls marathon, we being Tamika, Annelise and I, Tamika and I started at about 7.30pm and then Annelise joined us at about 10.30pm as she had to work. In all we only got to watch about 9 episodes and Annelise watched an extra two after I went to bed. Tamika only saw 7 as she had a late night the night before and was feeling very tired and sleepy. Only about 6 sleeps until we are on holidays which will be great.....can't wait! Even though I looooove th

Another day another blog....

Hi there again......It's Saturday and we managed to have a great sleep in before having to get a lot of work done. It is no secret to any one who knows me that I absolutely detest getting up early and I sleep in whenever I can.....though it's funny you know because when I have to get up early for some reason I do survive quite well, but I wouldn't say that it is my favourite time of the day. Maybe another thing that would help me get up early would be not going to bed so late every night......I enjoy the night life too much!!! Well....watching tv when I go to bed.....it's a bad habit I know. Anyway, I thought Januray was supposed to be a quiet month for Salvation Army officers well.....I suppose that it is condsidering that I don't have as much planning to do for things that are usually on during the week....but we have still been quite busy really. 2 hour episode of survivor was on tonight.....YAY....my most favourite show and so glad that this time it is on a

Thankful............

Well yes, I know I said that I was going to try to post 5 things that I am thankful for each day.....it lasted one day only! But here I am back today...... I am thankful for.............. 1. An amazing God......I am soooo unworthy! 2. Time for stitching my new project.....a teddy bear.....(managed to stitch a little between and after work today) 3. Gilmore Girls.......nearly through the sixth season for the second time......(boy it sounds like I watch tv all day, but really it is only my bedtime tv show...which sometimes I watch too late!) 4. An amazing team of people at our church to work with.......THANK YOU GOD! 5. My little dog that I can hear breathing from all the way across the room......got to love old dogs and their quirky noises! Oh well, thats the list for today and now it's time to go to sleep. Love Kylie xxx

Many Blessings...........

Hi again....I've been thinking that there is so much that we can thank God for and yet I don't do it as much as I should, so I am going to try to write down 5 things that I am thankful for each day in this blog. Mmmmmm sometimes that can be really easy and sometimes it seems a huge task. Here goes............I am thankful for........ 1. My beautiful husband who reminds me daily how much he loves me. 2. Good Books.......(more about that later) 3. a great family 4. best friends who care enough to come all the way here to spend Christmas day with us 5. a great God who has everything under control and even though I don't deserve it He loves me unconditionally That was harder than I thought.....but it's a good practice I think. Anyway, been reading this book and I thought that this was a good thought and I wanted to share it. "There is something uniquely magnificant and powerful about a woman....it is God who longs for Romance, is it God who longs to be our ezer (compan

Welcome to the year 2008. Well......It's about time this little chick got around to actually blogging a bit more. Time just seems to fly by, with lots of work to do and some great God stuff happening. Well Christmas is over for another year and what a lovely Christmas it was. It's absolutely amazing how many Christmas dinners, break ups, social events that we have been to, way too much eating....though there have been some lovely moments. One of the highlights for me this Christmas was going to the home of one of our Corps members, it was a corps barby and having a bus load of people from one of the local nursing homes come by and share in some carol singing. It is always a joy to see people enjoying themselves and even though it ended up raining, for the first time the people actually got out of the the bus to join in. (You see this is an annual event and the people usually stay on the bus even during the carol singing.) This was the first year that I have not been in Ballarat
