Whew.....what a busy week!

What a busy week we have had, and it's not about to get any slower at the moment I don't think. The week was a busy one anyway and then we had a funeral as well today which meant extra preparation and all that goes along with it. An awesome opportunity to witness and spend time with people though. I really do like the ministry of a funeral, though it totally puts me right out of my comfort zone in talking to people, but it is an awesome time to show people the love of God and serve them at the same time. I wonder......does any body actually read this, apart from my husband that is.......... February the 29th.................I just realised that this is a day that we only see every 4 years! And here it is..........YAY! Thank you God for each day you give to us............... Anyways........I am thankful for; 1. An amazing God who always gives me strength to do what I cannot accomplish in my own strength. 2. A great team of people at church that helped out today. 3. A spa bath

Could I procrastinate any more?

Well, this is the last thing I will do before I go off and finish my sermon for tomorrow, I think I am continuing to master the art of procrastination, but I had better get my act together and get it done. Maybe a reward of doing some more of my cross stitch later today will get me going.... I enjoy stitching and it is beginning to look good, so I am eager to get more done. It has been a good week, busy, yet I really couldnt say exactly what I have been doing, just the usually stuff plus some added visitation and admin that always takes up a lot of time. We are getting ready for a women's conference at the end of March and it's going to be a great time together with women from all around the area. The theme is "Made for More" and I believe that God is going to do some great things as we meet together in this way. I pray that things will go smoothly with the organisation of it and that we will be able to finalise speakers etc. for the day. God is good! til next t

A Hot Hot Day

One thing I hate about summer is that there is HOT weather. Now I don't mind the occasional hot day and don't get me wrong, I love going swimming or going to the beach, but I really hate hot weather. I would much rather it be cold and have to snuggle up to get warm, I love my flannel pjs, I love my electric blanket, I love standing near the heater or an open fire......bring on the cooler weather I say! I think that it is going to be hot for at least the next few days, so looks like I'll be trying to do a lot of work from inside where it's not so hot. Maybe we can go to the beach after tea tonight, might have to convince Colin to do that. We could take the dog for a little walkie or just take ourselves......might be a little much for the doggie, but mmmmmmmmm...... sounds like a plan! By the way..... the dog is still with us, she even looks a lot better than she did last week, though right now she is driving me nuts walking around the house and sniffing everywhere

Another weekend come and gone....

Hi there.....well, another weekend has come and gone and a new week is about to begin. I can't believe how fast the weeks are going so far this year.....it will be Christmas before we know it! Well, we have been having really hot weather again and it is supposed to be getting hotter over the next few days, so that won't be very nice.....I really hate the hot weather! I much prefer the cold weather where you can rug up and get warm......hey there's only so much clothing you can take off! Anyways, we have had some busy weeks and it doesn't look like it is going to get much quieter really.....but that is good, I would rather be busy than not busy. Colin and I are really trying to lose weight, but i am afraid that we both have really bad will-power and just cave in.....and I am really bad when i get down, just want to eat and eat and eat. We have had the tread-mill and the exercise bike in the loungeroom for a little while now, but today saw the lounge suite moved out

Another Day.....Another few hundred jobs to do.....

Well.....there just seems to be so much to do around here at the moment. At our church during feb and march we are doing a series called EPIC which is really good and seems to be going well. It has been good to be a part of the small groups for this and I just really love seeing the women that I meet with get into God and His Word, it's just awesome! They are even meeting on their own to go over some of the studies and making time to do extra studies when they can't meet on their normal day for some reason, so it is good to see. My life as a story............never completely thought about that before, but it's a really good concept and very interesting. Well, now I had better get going and get some more of my work done.....it's still going to be there no matter how long I procrastinate. Bye bye............. Love Kylie XXX

Really really sad news

Well, its been a sad few days, as our dog Jessie has been unwell and we have had her to the vet. When we picked her up yesterday she told us that Jessie is a very sick little doggie and we should only expect her to be with us only a short time longer. She has kidney failure and so there is nothing that they can do for her. So, it's been kinda sad around here......heck I know that she is only a dog, but she has been part of my life for 11 years and it's kinda like she's always been there..........well, ever since I moved out of home anyway. And even when mum and dad had her for 2 years while we were in college, we still had her there............. Oh well....we just pray that her last weeks with us will be good ones and that God will give us the strength that we need to say goodbye when we need to. Seems funny to be so upset about a dog.............but she is part of the family. Til later...........Love Kylie xxx

My Computer up and running............YAY

Hi there peoples, Good news today, I now have my PC back in action again which is a delightful thing. We were able to get a few parts that we needed to fix it, and my brilliant husband was able to get it working again! YAY! I really have appreciated being able to use the laptop for my stuff but I really do prefer to have my own desk top computer, so I am very happy. Anyways, it's my baby brother's birthday today..........I can't believe that he is 26, which leaves me feeling very old indeed. Oh, well........... Anyway, I still have plenty to be thankful for; 1. Life............... 2. A Great and Mighty God who adores me 3. A clever husband who fixed my computer for me 4. My brother, God bless him on this day and for always 5. Being able to finish tomorrow's sermon before 12pm tonight! YAY im done (we're in the middle of a series and it's been a hard slog this week) take care, Love Kylie XXX

Doesn't Time Fly..........

Next thing you know it is 5 days later and I haven't blogged............ Oh well, we have been blessed to have our good friends Chell and Bryn staying with us over the last few days, it's been really good to see them here and to share with them. Colin has a new hobby.......model trains, so he has been looking around to see what he can get to get his trains up and running. His dad gave him some model trains that they had when Colin lived at home and he decided that he should see what he can do with them. Yay...............more expensive things to buy! Oh well, never mind, it's a good thing. I'm supposed to be writing my sermon, so I had better get going...............I am a great procrastinator! See ya, Love Kylie XXX

Arghhhhhhhhh my aching calf muscles.......

Well, here I am, home from youth group and boy are my calf muscles aching. I guess it goes to show how much walking I haven't done! Tonight we had a scavenger hunt....quite like the Da Vinci code....it was a good night, even though our team came last! We were ok on finding out the different clues, but we didnt have the brains to get the final clue, even when it was sent to us as a SMS from one of the other teams.......der! Anyways, it was a good night, there was 10 youth and 4 of us as leaders which was really good. It has taken me all day today to do some of the work I have needed to do on the computer.......it's called procrastination and also I have been distracted by some reading that I have been doing......thank you Andraya! ~ Colin has been suitably impressed with the distraction I have had with reading, it means that I have not been bothering him as much. I have managed to do some house cleaning though, we are having visitors this week and not that they would care if the

The First of Feb already!

Image
Well, it's already the first of February, where has the first month of the year gone? So much has happened and time has really flown by......... Colin and I have been on holidays, and have come back kinda refreshed and ready to get going, yet in some ways very tired with all of the stuff that we have been doing while we were away. We were able to help some of our very dear friends move house to the Training College in Melbourne which was really good to be able to be there for them. I'm a little sad that we aren't close enough to do things like go to their welcome meeting and things like that, but I guess that is one of the burdens we bear. We also got to spend some time with Chell and had the privilege of being at her wedding. Colin did an awesome job at the ceremony for them and Chell was just the most beautiful bride, Bryn is a lucky guy. Chell & Bryn dancing together........... Things to be thankful for; 1. An amazing God who is always there and I can always rely on
