Holidays.............

Well, evetually we got ourselves organised on Sunday afternoon and headed off for our holidays, it seems like they have been coming forever! And actually, those who know me will never believe it, but we actually left home according to scheldule at 2pm and even for a short time it looked like we may actually leave early! But anyway, now we are in Victoria, staying for a couple of nights at our friend's place in Swan Hill and it has been great to catch up with her. And then tomorrow we will be heading off to Melbourne which will also be good. God is good and I am thankful that we are able to have some time to just relax and not do too much for just under two weeks now. 5 things to be thankful for; 1. A great God who knows exactly what I need 2. great friends who constantly remind me how much I am cared for 3. safety on our long drive here yesterday.......didn't think we were ever gonna get here! 4. great weather today 5. a yummy roast tea made by a good friend Blessings on th...

I Will Trust You..........

A few months ago in our music team we were asked to get items ready that could be used as a message in music at church and I dug around in my music collection to find this song. It is a song from one of the first Christian albums that I ever had by Twila Paris. Well, anyway, towards the end of music practice last night Kay asked if I would sing this song on Sunday, which was no problems, but I was really blown away by the timing and you know I think God knew that I needed to be reminded to trust Him with everything. I will trust You, Lord, till the day I die. I will trust You, Lord, when I'm blind with pain! You were God before, and You'll never change. I will trust You." It was a really great reminder to me of God's p...

How Great Is Our GOD!!!!!

We are very priviledged to serve and follow such a wonderful God. We have just finished Discovery at our house tonight, and there was nothing prepared so Colin suggested that we watch a dvd that the church had bought as a resource, it was entitled "Indescribable" by gifted speaker Louie Giglio. It was really awesome, if you get a chance you just have to watch it. We also were so interested in what he had to say that we ended up watching the second one called "How Great Is Our God". The speaker, Louie Giglio, was mind-blowing. His talk centered on our place in the universe and just how small we are in the grand scheme of things. I just want to let you know the basis of the talk was. It features LAMININ. What the heck is Laminin you ask? Let's start with a picture. This is a photo that was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. It is of the center of a galaxy known as the Whirlpool Galaxy (photo below) millions of light years from Earth. As Christians we believe t...
