Wow what a day............

Wow what a day we had today, I will be able to blog a bit more about it tomorrow perhaps after I have been able to get the Sunday stuff ready and slept a bit.............very tired. Needless to say we had an awesome women's conference today and it all went splendidly well thanks to a great team of awesome people who helped out in many ways. God is great!

When I was growing up, and probably still to this day I have always been amazed at the verse in Matthew (10:30) where it talks about the fact that God knows exactly how many hairs are on our heads. It may be a little child-like of me, but it was one of the things that made me realise just how much God cared for me and how much He really cared that He would know that. In the fire............

It seems like a long time since I've blogged and a lot has gone on in that time. What an odd title for a blog, I know, but God speaks to us through many different ways and today it was through an email. We frequently get emails from someone who prays for us and they just have a verse and a thought or quote and todays had a great message for me. “Wasn’t it three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied, “Certainly, O King.” “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire unbound and unharmed. . ." (Daniel 3: 24 - 25) As sure as God ever puts his children in the furnace, he will be in the furnace with them. (Charles Spurgeon) I kind of feel like I have been thrown into the furnace so to speak, in the sense that everything is new and I don't know what I am doing, and whether or not I will be able to do what I need to do. At the Cross..........

Sometimes I find that when you are a minister and you are leading people in worship on days like Good Friday and Easter Sunday there is a tendancy to miss the importance or solemnity of the day and the reason that we celebrate Easter. This year I have not found that to be true. Our Good Friday service was wonderful and very thought-provoking and it was the way that it affected other people that made the biggest impression on me this Easter. I am thankful for the way that God is working in and through His people in our church. That is a huge blessing!!!! Also this morning (Easter Sunay) I was blessed to see God's people respond in many different ways and the Risen Saviour glorified! Thank you Jesus my Saviour who gave His life for me!
